HOMES

Upper Swallick will support a strong, vibrant and healthy community by providing a diverse range of housing required to meet the needs of present and future generations. This will include up to 2,500 new homes, of which 40% (up to 1,000 homes) will be affordable, and up to 150 homes for older people.

The mix and tenure of the new homes will be determined by local need and agreed with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council during the application process. The expectation is a range from 1-bed apartments to larger family houses and comprising a mix of private sale, social rented and shared ownership homes. Provision will also be made for homes for older people.

A Design Code will be submitted as part of the application avoiding fragmented design and ensuring Upper Swallick is built around a single, coherent vision.

We are committed to prioritising sustainability in all new homes to help keep fuel bills low for residents while supporting clean energy. Every home at Upper Swallick will be gas free and designed around net zero carbon and energy positive technologies. To maximise energy efficiency, this will include solar PV panels, air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging.
