COMMUNITY AND WELLBEING

Our proposals will create a new development for Basingstoke that is rooted in sustainable placemaking and focused on fostering a genuine sense of community.

In addition to new homes, Upper Swallick will provide the essential infrastructure and amenities needed to support everyday life. It is designed as a walkable village, with services and facilities located within easy walking distance of homes. This will reduce the need for car journeys and help residents meet their day-to-day needs close to where they live.

Upper Swallick will include a range of services and facilities:

Long Term Stewardship at the heart of Upper Swallick

Our vision is to create a high-quality neighbourhood that current and future generations can be proud of. Guided by TCPA Garden Community principles Upper Swallick will  place long-term stewardship at its core.

This approach puts residents at the heart of managing and caring for the community over the long term.  Management structures will be established to ensure community assets are well maintained, resilient and viable for years to come. This model of long-term stewardship will extend from public open spaces and green infrastructure to community buildings and shared facilities.
